    Topic: Intro to JMP

Abstract: – This session will demonstrate some basic elements of getting started with JMP, including the starter window and menu systems, data table functions, and help/support options, as well as simple analyses such as graphical distributions, Fit Y by X platform, and tabulating descriptive statistics.The content will be tailored to the experience level of the audience.
Biography: Mike Vorburger is a Systems Engineer at JMP, a business unit of SAS. Before joining SAS, he worked for seven years with the nonprofit research organization RTI International as a research statistician and SAS programmer. At RTI, he specialized in the analysis of complex survey data and ad hoc rapid analyses, with a focus on public health, environmental and education studies. His major clients were within the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the US Department of Health and Human Services. Vorburger has a bachelor’s degree in statistics, with a minor in economics, from North Carolina State University.

    Topic: SAS® Visual Data Discovery

Abstract: When JMP is used in conjunction with SAS®, users have access to comprehensive visual analysis techniques that enable them to interactively explore, visualize and better understand their data. JMP users can tap into the full power of SAS, while SAS users can gain immediate insights into their data through JMP’s interactive graphics. This session shows how to generate ODS results and graphics by submitting SAS code directly from JMP and how to build a point-and-click interface to a SAS procedure that lets users visualize and interact with results graphically with JMP.
